FINALLY STARTED WORK... Kinda!

Finally started messing around with my left over felt to start the onslaught which is my exhibiting artwork for this years graduating exhibition. I haven't yet gone to spotlight to get the felt I need (nor written a list that actually tells me what felt I need)! Anyway, these pictures are from last Friday; they are just of fiddling with the whole "cream puff" thing that I've never been game enough to try because it looked super hard; turns out its the easiest thing ever!

Workspace (+ music - its a very important part in the creative/productive process!)

"Cream puffs" - finddling with designing my own template with more swirly bits O.o

finished cream puffs - brown ones are from the original enlarged templates (2x different sizes) & the black with the strawberry is created from my own template (didn't want to waste chocolate coloured felt if it didn't work!

So far, all is going well - i went to Lincraft the other day and picked up a whole bunch of different rainbow coloured embroidery thread so that now I can sew things properly, by that I mean nice stitching on the pieces which have visible stitches. Overall, even though i haven't really started I do have a good idea of what I need to do but no idea what exactly I need to buy felt wise. Figuring that out is next on the to do list! :D

More inspiration~ ♫♪

(all images found via Tumblr)
Collage 1: cakes and lollies, drawings and sketches, journal pages, Japanese fashion and bright colours
collage 2: Travis Barker, Blink-182  & Silverchair, Daniel Johns, "no mom that's not punk rock", Storm troopers, Silverchair, Yelawolf.

I do like the idea of anime/cartoons laid on top of actually photographs and drawings, I've seen a few more online and just really like the juxtaposition.
Alice in Wonderland and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz - the most two most amazing of Disney representations - "I've seen some weird shit" is cute and totally applicable - they've both seen imaginary worlds and had wonderful adventures! :D
Star Trek!~ Most beautiful "space husbands" forever and ever! (with photo shopped flower crowns!) - I absolutely adore OS Star trek, especially Leonard Nimoy/Spock, the entire themes its crew/the human race are projecting are wonderful - unity, peace and everyone coming together for the greater good of mankind. Its quite idealistic and lovely <3

PLANNING IS LAME~ TT_TT

^planning for this blog, its part of the assessment :( & the beginning/basic concept re-writing and thumbnail images of what I hope my final piece for my graduating exhibition will be/look like.

^more blog planning. I think the two images on the left actually turned out kinda cute - little badly drawn and sketchy laptops with the layout that I desire for this blog! :D

I like cake #2

More sketches, started out as tattoo ideas but are mainly just fiddling with composition and perfecting how I want things to sit/what I actually want inked. Whatever it is, it must involve cake and I think it'll be placed upon my right arm - bicep most likely, or forearm... but that's harder to cover up! O.o

SUPER KAWAII INSPIRATION POST #1~~~~~

I found this artist in my travels around tumblr, the link to their site is here ♡
Their drawings/gifs are all done via the computer (not entirely sure what program but that doesn't matter!). The cute tattoos, pastel and bright colours make each image/the subject matter come alive and all their works are absolutely gorgeous! :)
