FELT FOOD TEA PARTY~ ✌

This is a previous work from early last year, an interactive installation that was on display at the Fibre Festival in Ipswich. It is basically just a tea party setup comprising of hand sewn felt food. For my final body of work for this years graduating exhibition, I'm planning on using this, only taking it much further, creating a lot more food and getting actual table/chairs set up. Hopefully it I will also be able to keep it as interactive.

Art Journaling #1 ~ SEQUINS ~

A while ago I started art journaling. The whole idea behind it is basically to just create without limitations or boundaries created from skill or what is/isn't considered art. So here is a page I did a week or so ago; just used some cheap artist's medium from overflow and some sequins I discovered whilst cleaning.

Inspiration: Collages~

I reeeeeally like collages, they are so wonderful! & I also reeeeally like all the "dodgey looking" ones people keep making with photoshop/paint & posting on Tumblr. Mostly just of famous people with other cute bits & pieces added in, they are super amazing

~left to right, top to bottom ~
Lana Del Rey, Mike Fuentes, Sleeping With Sirens, James Dean, Micheal Cera, Some dude from Teen Wolf, Leonardo Dicaprio, Katy Perry, Iggy Azalea, DANEIL JOHNS, OS SPOCK, MARK HOPPUS, ZACHARY QUINTO.
+ I did have one of 'tomark' but I can't seem to find it anymore :(
Ah well!

*note: none of these images are mine, all sourced from/via Tumblr*

Shake it like a Polaroid picture ♫♪ ~

Last Monday, I hung out with my friend Astrid, who happens to own a Polaroid! Needless to say, we took a fair amount of photos, sadly lots of which didn't work - note to self, Polaroids at dusk = no - but we still had oodles of fun anyway!

Here are some of the photos, there's not many but what was really fun is that unlike when you use a digital camera, you actually have to think about perspective, composition and lighting! Which really was quite different to my usual habits of taking 500000 snaps then coming back through and deleting the blurry/awful ones. (Film for it is also so darn expensive!)

^Me outside King George Square Bus station         Astrids & my feet (+ my plaid skirt) in Queen Street Mall^

^Collection at lunch, from left to right, Astrid being super kawaii; me outside KG; my derpy sad face in Hungry Jacks; both our feet~

^I MADE MY FIRST GIF =^.^=
~Its of me making a derpy sad face in Hungry Jack's~

While I'm still rambling about Polaroid's - now would be the time that I mention that...
I BOUGHT ONE! Mine is black & cost me a fair amount of $$$ but I've wanted one for ages so i think that it was a good purchase! I've only taken one photo so far - the inlet behind my aunt's house; which is over exposed and very 70's looking - like that instagram filter only 100x better!

^Its so new & pretty & black n_n                   ^First and only photo taken! (of ducks)

i like cake~

Rough sketches done in graphite, in order of completion from left to right, I found that I was trying to put waaaaay too much into one small space & as I went along I figured I should stop and only put in what is loved most, hence all the cake and drippy icing. The bottom left isn't even meant to be anything, really - just a doodle after seeing something online I thought I could appropriate & change into something better~

These began as tattoo ideas but since the last two worked so well I might decide to turn them into a larger-scale drawing or painting - ha good luck with that... Me? do something productive and art related? ...Probably not...

O.O

Point of view~

It's too hard to decide where to start, so here is a really terrible photo of sculptures (based on the female form) from last semester. I honestly don't really want to blog about my pathetic art, but sadly it must be done. Don't see too much point to it either, ah well.

Hopefully Silverchair will inspire me~
